Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, engine OFF.
  2. Verify with a scan tool no internal mode switch (IMS) DTCs set.
    • If IMS DTCs are not set 
  3. Verify the scan tool Driver Shift Request parameter changes from Inactive to Downshift when the S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left is pressed.
    • If the parameter does not display the correct values 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter displays the correct values 
  4. Verify the scan tool Driver Shift Request parameter changes from Inactive to Upshift when the S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right is pressed.
    • If the parameter does not display the correct values 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter displays the correct values 
  5. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  6. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the DTC does not set 
  7. All OK.
