Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LF3) .
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement (LF3) .

  4. Disconnect the fuel feed hose (1) from the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  6. Remove the drivetrain and front suspension frame. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement .
  7. Remove the air condition evaporator thermal expansion valve heat and brake pipe shield. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Heat and Brake Pipe Shield Replacement (LF3) .

  8. Disconnect the fuel feed hose (2) from the retainers (1).

  9. Disconnect the fuel feed hose (2) from the fuel feed pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  10. Remove the fuel feed hose (2) from the retainers (1).
  11. Remove the fuel feed hose (2) from the vehicle.
