Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LFX) .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LFX) .

  3. Disconnect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the EVAP purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Unclip the EVAP pipe from the retaining clips.
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  6. Remove the right front underbody air deflector. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
  7. Remove the right rear underbody air deflector. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
  8. Lower the rear of the frame approximately 51 mm (2 in). Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement .
  9. Unclip the EVAP pipe from the cowl line retainer clip.

  10. Disconnect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the EVAP emission canister purge pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  11. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the retainers (2).
  12. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the vehicle.
