Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet rear duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Rear Duct Replacement (LF3) .
    2. Fig 1: EVAP Emission Front Pipe (AWD LF3)

  2. Disconnect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the EVAP purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the retainer (2).
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Remove the drivetrain and front suspension frame. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement .
  6. Remove the air condition evaporator thermal expansion valve heat and brake pipe shield. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Heat and Brake Pipe Shield Replacement (LF3) .

  7. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the retainers (2).

  8. Disconnect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the EVAP emission canister purge pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  9. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the retainers (2).
  10. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the vehicle.
