Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front compartment front sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LF3) .

  3. Disconnect the charge air bypass valve vacuum tank tube bundle front section (1) from charge air bypass valve vacuum tank tube bundle rear section. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  4. Disconnect the charge air bypass valve vacuum tank tube bundle front section clamps (1) from turbocharger wastegate actuator vacuum tank.
  5. Disconnect the charge air bypass valve vacuum tank tube bundle front section quick connect fitting (2) from turbocharger wastegate actuator vacuum tank. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  6. Disconnect the retainers and tie straps from charge air bypass valve vacuum tank tube bundle front section (3) and remove from vehicle.
