Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series) and Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base) .
    WARNING: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .
    WARNING: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .
  2. Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose (1) from the fuel tank vent valve hose. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Remove the right rear wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (V-Series) and Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series) .
  4. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
  5. Remove the tie straps (1) attaching the fuel tank vent hose to the fuel tank filler pipe.

  6. Remove the fuel tank vent hose (4) from the fuel tank filler pipe (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  7. Remove the fuel tank vent hose (4) from the retainers (3).
  8. Remove the fuel tank vent hose (4) from the EVAP emission canister. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
