Removal Procedure

WARNING: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .
WARNING: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the evaporative emission pipe (1) from the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve and retainers. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series) and Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base) .
  4. Remove the underbody front air deflector right side. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
  5. Remove the front body exhaust heat shield right side. Refer to Front Body Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement (Right) .
  6. Disconnect the evaporative emission pipe (1) and remove from retainers (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  7. Remove the evaporative emission pipe (1) from the vehicle.
