Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series) and Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base) .
    WARNING: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .
    WARNING: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission canister purge pipe (1) from the fuel tank vent valve hose. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Remove the right rear wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (V-Series) and Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series) .
  4. Remove the tie straps (1) attaching the evaporative emission canister purge pipe to the fuel tank filler pipe.

  5. Remove the evaporative emission canister purge pipe (3) from the retainers (2).
  6. Remove the evaporative emission canister purge pipe (3) from the EVAP emission canister. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
