Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the charge air cooler inlet air tube from the inlet air hose.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series) and Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base) .
  4. Remove the front compartment lower noise shield. Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (RWD) , Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (AWD) and Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (V - Series) .
  5. Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (V-Series) and Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series) .
  6. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air tube bolts (1) from the charge air cooler inlet air tube (2).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air tube from the turbocharger.
  9. Pull the release clip (1) outward and disconnect the charge air cooler inlet air tube (2) from the charge air cooler.

  10. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air tube (2) from the vehicle.
