Preliminary Procedure Open and support the hood.
1	Windshield Wiper Arm Nut Cap NOTE: Use a small flat-bladed tool in order to release the finish cap from the wiper arm assembly.
2	Windshield Wiper Arm Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 33 N.m (24 lb ft)
3	Windshield Wiper Arm Procedure Gently rock the windshield wiper arm to remove it from the pivot shaft. Clean the pivot shaft knurls with a soft wire brush before installing a new windshield wiper arm. Adjust the windshield wiper arms when they are reinstalled. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Adjustment .
