Preliminary Procedure Remove the windshield side garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Side Garnish Molding Replacement .
1	Windshield Defroster Nozzle Grille Assembly CAUTION: To prevent component damage, DO NOT use metal tools to remove the trim. CAUTION: Be sure to follow the service procedure when removing the trim panel. Failure to follow service procedure may cause damage to the trim panel. Procedure Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool in order to release the ten retaining clips securing the windshield defroster nozzle grille to the instrument panel. Disconnect the electrical connections. When replacing the windshield defroster nozzle grille assembly, transfer all necessary components.

Windshield Defroster Nozzle Grille Assembly

CAUTION:

To prevent component damage, DO NOT use metal tools to remove the trim.

CAUTION:

Be sure to follow the service procedure when removing the trim panel. Failure to follow service procedure may cause damage to the trim panel.

Procedure

Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool in order to release the ten retaining clips securing the windshield defroster nozzle grille to the instrument panel.
Disconnect the electrical connections.
When replacing the windshield defroster nozzle grille assembly, transfer all necessary components.
