Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Latch Release Cable Replacement (Coupe)

Preliminary Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling
2. Remove the driver or passenger seat back cushion finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (W2E) Front Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (AQ9)  Rear Seat Replacement
3. Remove the driver or passenger seat back cushion latch release handle bezel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Latch Release Handle Replacement (Coupe)  Rear Seat Replacement

Procedure

1. Disengage the cushion release cable from the latch assembly by pushing the cable clip forward.
2. Disengage the cushion release cable clips by pulling downward from the seat back frame fasteners on both sides.
3. Disengage both cushion release cable sides from the seat back frame brackets by pushing forward and then up.
4. Cut the cable ties as necessary and replace with new ties for reinstallation. Then gently remove the cushion release cable from the lumbar system wires.
5. Note location and routing of the latch release cable prior to removal in order to ensure proper reinstallation.
