Preliminary Procedure Remove the front compartment sight shields. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
1	Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Bolt (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Procedure Disconnect the remote start electrical connector, if equipped. Disconnect the release cable from the hood latch by squeezing the cable retainer.

Procedure

Disconnect the remote start electrical connector, if equipped.
Disconnect the release cable from the hood latch by squeezing the cable retainer.
