Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet rear duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Rear Duct Replacement (LF3) .
    2. NOTE:

    Removal of the charge air cooler pipe is not required for cylinders 1 and 5 coil replacement.

  2. For cylinder number 3 coil replacement, remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe (right). Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement - Right Side (LF3) .

  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector(s) (1) from the ignition coil(s) (2).

  4. Remove the ignition coil bolt(s) (1).
  5. Remove the ignition coil(s) (2).
