Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LFX) .
    2. Fig 1: Evaporative Emission Front Pipe

  2. Disconnect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the EVAP purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  4. Disconnect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the EVAP emission canister purge pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the retainers (2).
  6. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the vehicle.
