Preliminary Procedures Remove the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Replacement . Lower the rear of the headliner to access the inner bolts. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With C3U) , Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without C3U) . Use a grease pencil to mark the liftgate hinge position to the body prior to removal.
1	Liftgate Hinge Nut (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2	Liftgate Hinge Bolt Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
3	Liftgate Hinge Procedure Remove old gasket material. Paint the hinge mounting area. Refer to Basecoat/Clearcoat Paint Systems . Install a NEW gasket with hinge. Adjust the liftgate if needed.
