Component Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the traction control switch or the multifunction switch-I/P.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal 1 and the appropriate ground terminal listed below with the switch in the open position.
    • Terminal 3 (with X88 or Z88)
    • Terminal 5 (with Z75)
    • If not the specified value, replace the traction control switch or the multifunction switch-I/P.
  3. Test for less than 5 Ω between the signal terminal 1 and the appropriate ground terminal listed below with the switch in the closed position.
    • Terminal 3 (with X88 or Z88)
    • Terminal 5 (with Z75)
    • If greater than the specified range, replace the traction control switch or the multifunction switch-I/P.
