NOTE: Set the electric parking brake before moving the shift lever into the neutral position. Preliminary Procedures Loosen the front floor console extension panels to gain access to the fasteners without having to remove the driver and passenger seats. Refer to Front Floor Console Extension Replacement . Remove the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement .
1	Instrument Panel Center Compartment Fasteners (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 2.5 (22 lb in)
2	Instrument Panel Center Compartment Assembly NOTE: The shift lever should be in the neutral position in order to create space to remove the center compartment. Procedures Grasp the instrument panel center compartment and pull rearward releasing the retainer clips securing the compartment to the instrument panel assembly. Disconnect the electrical connections, if applicable.

CAUTION:

Tighten
2.5 (22 lb in)

NOTE:

The shift lever should be in the neutral position in order to create space to remove the center compartment.

Procedures

Grasp the instrument panel center compartment and pull rearward releasing the retainer clips securing the compartment to the instrument panel assembly.
Disconnect the electrical connections, if applicable.
