• DTC P0973 is a Type A DTC.
• The TCM forces the torque converter clutch (TCC) OFF.
• The TCM commands maximum line pressure.
• The TCM freezes transmission adaptive functions.
• The TCM enables Torque Management.
• The TCM inhibits TAP function.
• The TCM inhibits manual shifting of forward gears.
• The TCM inhibits Tow/Haul mode.
• The TCM inhibits neutral idle.
• The TCM commands neutral gear if the output speed sensor signal is 1350 RPM or greater.
• The TCM commands 2nd gear if the output speed sensor signal is less than 1350 RPM. No upshift allowed.

• The TCM inhibits 1st gear.
• The TCM inhibits neutral idle.
