Rear Case and Gasket Replacement (2WD)

Callout	Component Name
CAUTION: Use Dexron VI transmission fluid only. Failure to use the proper fluid may result in transmission internal damage. Preliminary Procedures Remove the rear propeller shaft. Refer to Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement . Place a suitable drain pan under the transmission. Fill the transmission with the proper amount of transmission fluid. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications , and Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check .
1	Rear Case Bolt (Qty: 12) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 27 N.m (20 lb ft)
2	Rear Case TIP: During removal of the Rear Case, use care in order to retain the Sun Gear-3rd Position on the Sun Gear Shaft Assembly-3rd Position.
