- Vehicle ON.
- Verify that DTC P1AF0, P1AF2, P1B43, P1B44, P1B0B, or P1B0C is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the X175/X176 harness connector at the transmission.
- Install the DT-48493 jumper harness to the transmission side only.
- Test for 6-9 Ω between the reference circuit terminal 8 and the reference circuit terminal 9.
- If less than 6 Ω
- Disconnect the harness connector at the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- Test for infinite resistance between the reference circuit terminal 8 and the reference circuit terminal 9.
- If less than infinite resistance, replace the a/trans wiring harness.
- If infinite resistance, replace the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- If greater than 9 Ω
- Disconnect the harness connector at the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the reference circuits end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, replace the a/trans wiring harness.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- If between 6-9 Ω
- Test for 19-23 Ω between the signal circuit 2 terminal 12 and the signal circuit 2 terminal 14.
- If less than 19 Ω
- Disconnect the harness connector at the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit 2 terminal 12 and the signal circuit 2 terminal 14.
- If less than infinite resistance, replace the a/trans wiring harness.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- If greater than 23 Ω
- Disconnect the harness connector at the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuits end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, replace the a/trans wiring harness.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- If between 19-23 Ω
- Test for 22-26 Ω between the signal circuit 1 terminal 10 and the signal circuit 1 terminal 11.
- If less than 22 Ω
- Disconnect the harness connector at the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit 1 terminal 10 and the signal circuit 2 terminal 11.
- If less than infinite resistance, replace the a/trans wiring harness.
- If infinite resistance, replace the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- If greater than 26 Ω
- Disconnect the harness connector at the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuits end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, replace the a/trans wiring harness.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- If between 22-26 Ω
- Test for greater than 10,000 Ω between the terminals listed below and ground:
- Reference circuit terminal 8
- Reference circuit terminal 9
- Signal circuit 2 terminal 12
- Signal circuit 2 terminal 14
- Signal circuit 1 terminal 10
- Signal circuit 1 terminal 11
- If less than 10,000 Ω
- Disconnect the harness connector at the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- Test for less than infinite resistance between the appropriate terminal and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, replace the a/trans wiring harness.
- If infinite resistance, replace the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- If 10,000 Ω or greater
- Test for infinite resistance between the terminals listed below:
- Terminals 8 and 10
- Terminals 8 and 12
- Terminals 10 and 12
- If less than infinite resistance
- Disconnect the harness connector at the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- Test for less than infinite resistance between the appropriate terminals.
- If less than infinite resistance, replace the a/trans wiring harness.
- If infinite resistance, replace the M15A Drive Motor 1.
- If infinite resistance
- Refer to Circuit/System Testing .
NOTE:
If the a/trans wiring harness circuits fail the circuit tests, replace the harness; do not repair.
