Installation Procedure

Using the J-8092 driver handle and DT-50649 installer (2) install the front output shaft oil seal (1) to the transfer case.

NOTE:

The new design front output shaft oil slinger can be installed onto all current and prior model year applications, providing the new design front output shaft seal is also installed. Refer to Transfer Case Description and Operation .

Using the J-8092 driver handle and DT-50649 installer (2) install the front output shaft oil slinger (1) to the transfer case.
Install the front propeller shaft. Refer to Front Propeller Shaft Replacement .
Install the transfer case shield, if equipped. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement .
Lower the vehicle.
