WARNING: Refer to Brake Fluid Warning . WARNING: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning . Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (6-Lug Wheel) , Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (8-Lug Wheel) .
1	Brake Pipe Rear Fitting CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft) Remove any dirt or debris from the brake pipe fitting. The mounting bracket for the brake hose is serviced as part of the brake hose assembly and is not serviced separately. Use a backup wrench when removing or installing the brake pipe fitting. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss or contamination.
2	Brake Hose to Axle Rear Bolt Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in) TIP: Finger tighten mounting bolt before torquing to the specified value.
3	Brake Hose to Axle Rear Bracket
4	Brake Hose to Caliper Rear Bolt Tighten 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
5	Brake Hose to Caliper Gasket (Qty: 2) Make sure the gaskets are not still attached to the brake hose or bolt, if not remove them. DO NOT re-use the gaskets. Install NEW gaskets.
6	Brake Rear Hose When installing the brake hose, DO NOT twist or pinch the brake hose. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) , Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Two-mode Hybrid) , Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) .
