Static Test

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at the S78 turn signal/multifunction switch.
2. Test for 8.8-9.0k Ω between the signal terminal 12 X2 and the low reference circuit terminal 6 X2.
   • If not within the specified range, replace the S78 turn signal/multifunction switch.
3. Test for 550-650 Ω between the signal terminal 12 X2 and the low reference circuit terminal 6 X2 while pressing the Up switch.
   • If not within the specified value, replace the S78 turn signal/multifunction switch.
4. Test for 1.5-1.7k Ω between the signal terminal 12 X2 and the low reference circuit terminal 6 X2 while pressing the Down switch.
   • If not within the specified value, replace the S78 turn signal/multifunction switch.
5. Test for 3.3-3.7k Ω between the signal terminal 12 X2 and the low reference circuit terminal 6 X2 while pressing the Set/Clr switch.
   • If not within the specified value, replace the S78 turn signal/multifunction switch.
6. Test for less than 30 Ω between the signal terminal 5 X2 and the ground circuit terminal 3 X2 while pressing the Menu switch.
   • If greater than the specified value, replace the S78 turn signal/multifunction switch.
