Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition ON, verify that DTC U1826, C0186, C0196 or C0292 is not set.
- Inspect the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor for correct installation.
- If loose or incorrect installation is diagnosed, correct the installation of the component.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor.
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down. Test for less than 10 Ω between the ground circuit terminal 6 and ground.
- If greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, test for greater than 11 V between the 12 V reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If less than the specified value, test the 12 V reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor and verify the DTC does not reset.
- If the DTC resets, replace the EBCM.
