Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement . Remove the oil pan slid plate. Refer to Oil Pan Skid Plate Replacement (2500/2500 with RPO NZZ) . Remove the right front shock rear mounting bolt only from the lower control arm. Refer to Shock Absorber and Spring Assembly Replacement Remove the right differential carrier mounting nuts and washers. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (1500 FWD) or Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (2500 4WD) Tip: Slowly lower front differential to avoid damage to the differential actuator motor housing. Stop lowering just prior to the differential actuator motor housing making contact with the steering gear motor.
1	Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Bolt CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 22 N.m (16 lb in)

3	Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Push Retainer
4	Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Push Retainer.
5	Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Assembly Procedure Disconnect the transmission lines from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection . Note the routing of the transmission line to ensure proper installation. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check .
