Charge Air Cooler Outlet Hose Replacement

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the charge air cooling system. Refer to Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) (Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill)).




2. Using the J 38185 , disengage clamp tension and disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.




3. Using the J 38185 , disengage clamp tension and disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the pump.
4. Lower the vehicle.




5. Using the J 38185 , disengage clamp tension and disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the fill neck.
6. Remove the radiator outlet hose.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the radiator outlet hose.




2. Using the J 38185 , disengage clamp tension and connect the radiator outlet hose onto the fill neck.
3. Raise the vehicle.




4. Using the J 38185 , disengage clamp tension and connect the radiator outlet hose onto the pump.




5. Using the J 38185 , disengage clamp tension and connect the radiator outlet hose onto the radiator.
6. Fill the charge air cooling system. Refer to Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) (Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill)).
