Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The traction control system (TCS) and vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) are disabled for the duration of the ignition cycle.
The EBCM requests the MIL to be turned ON.
The BRAKE indicator turns ON.
The antilock brake system (ABS) indicator turns ON.
The vehicle dynamics caution (VDC) indicator turns ON.
The driver information center (DIC) displays the SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL message.
The DIC displays the SERVICE STABILITRAK message.
The DIC displays the SERVICE BRAKES SOON message.
The ECM sets DTC C12E1 00.
