Preliminary Procedures

Remove the rear compartment lid inner panel trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
Remove the rear compartment lid strut. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement .

Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Nut (Qty: 2)

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)

Rear Compartment Lid
Tip:

Disconnect any electrical connectors attaching the body harness to the rear compartment lid.
Use help to keep the lid from falling when removing it to prevent personal injury and damage to the lid.
