Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the I/P carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement .
- Carefully lift the head-up display (HUD) electrical harness from between the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and the HUD.
- Disconnect the HUD electrical connector from the IPC.
- Remove the retaining screws that secure the IPC to the steering column bracket.
- Raise the rear of the IPC slightly to release the locator tab. Reposition the IPC to access the retaining screw that secures the HUD to the steering column bracket.
- Loosen the retaining screw that secures the HUD to the steering column bracket.
- Remove the HUD retaining nuts.
- Remove the HUD from the vehicle.

Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.
