Engine Speed Display

The HUD displays the engine speed based on information from the PCM/ECM. The HUD receives a class 2 message from the PCM/ECM indicating the engine speed. Each engine revolution represents input pulses to the PCM/ECM. The instantaneous engine speed is calculated by the PCM/ECM using the time difference between the 2 input pulses.
