Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initilization/Teach Process

Perform the Initialization/Teach Procedure every time a new sunroof motor/actuator is installed in the vehicle, or when an existing motor/actuator is transferred to a replacement service frame module.

1. Ensure the electrical harness on the headliner is connected.
2. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
3. Move the rotary switch to the CLOSED position.
4. Wait for all motions to stop.
5. Push up on the switch and hold for 10 seconds.
6. Release the switch.
7. Repeat steps  5- 6 two additional times.
IMPORTANT: The Initialization/Teach Procedure must be restarted if the sunroof loses power before the initialization cycle is complete.
8. Verify functionality of the sunroof in all positions.
