Removal Procedure

  1. Mark the location of the hinges, upper and lower, on the door with a grease pencil.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  4. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside .
  5. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  6. Remove the energy absorber pad. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear .
  7. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner .
  8. Remove the inner window seal. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Weatherstrip Replacement .
  9. Remove the door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  10. Remove the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer .
  11. Remove the rear door stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window and Front Channel Replacement .
  12. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  13. Remove the door frame applique. Refer to Rear Door Frame Applique Replacement .
  14. Remove the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  15. Remove the front window run channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement .
  16. Remove the door latch. Refer to Rear Door Latch Replacement .
  17. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside .
  18. Remove the rear door upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Upper Auxiliary .
  19. Remove the door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement - Rear .
  20. Open the front door.

  21. Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness.
  22. Remove the wiring harness retainers (1) from the door.
  23. Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.
  24. Support the door.
  25. With an assistant, remove the hinge to door bolts in order to remove the door.
