Sunroof / Moonroof Motor: Service and Repair

SUNROOF MOTOR/ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT (SMART MOTOR)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Lower the headliner in order to access the sunroof motor/actuator. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the screws securing the sunroof motor/actuator to the module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the sunroof motor/actuator to the sunroof module.
2. Install the sunroof motor/actuator screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Verify the sunroof operation.
5. Initilization /Teach the sunroof motor. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process.
6. Install the headliner.
7. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information. Programming and Relearning
