Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the nut from the shift control linkage.
  3. Disconnect the shift control linkage rod from the shift control assembly.
  4. Lower the vehicle.

  5. Remove the console trim plate (1).
  6. Remove the shift control trim plate (2).
  7. Remove the center console assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .

  8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the shift control assembly.
  9. Remove the shift control mounting nuts.
  10. Remove the shift control assembly from the vehicle.
