Before and During Drive Cycle

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

• Drive maneuvers should be performed when the transmission oil temperature is at least 40°C (104°F).
• Transmission oil level is properly set before starting drive cycles.
• Initial up shifts may be erratic for several drive cycles. They should improve significantly with repeated maneuvers.
• At the start of the drive cycles, check for ECM or TCM, DTCs and be sure the MIL is not be illuminated.
