Installation Procedure

  1. Install the oil control valve through the opening in the right exhaust camshaft position actuator and thread it into the right exhaust camshaft.

  3. Ensure both camshaft actuator timing marks (1, 3) are aligned with the paint marks on the secondary timing chain previously created.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Use an open end wrench on the hex cast into the right exhaust camshaft to prevent the camshaft from rotating when tightening the camshaft oil control valve.

    Tighten:  Tighten the camshaft oil control valve to 120 N.m (89 lb ft).

  7. Remove the EN 46327  (1).

  9. Remove the EN 46328  (1) from the camshafts (2).
  10. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .

  12. Install the right camshaft actuator housing. Refer to Camshaft Position Actuator Housing Replacement - Right Side .
