Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: View Of Right Intake Camshaft Sensor & Right Exhaust Camshaft Sensor

  2. Remove the right exhaust camshaft sensor. Refer to Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust .
  3. Remove the right intake camshaft sensor. Refer to Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Intake .
  4. Remove the right camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement - Right Side .
  5. Remove the cam sensor harness from the retainers.

  6. Remove the right intake camshaft position actuator solenoid bolts.
  7. Remove the right intake camshaft position actuator solenoid.
  8. Remove the right intake camshaft position actuator solenoid alignment plug and discard.

  9. Remove the right exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid bolts.
  10. Remove the right exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid.
  11. Remove the right exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid alignment plug and discard.

  12. Remove the right camshaft position actuator housing bolts.
  13. Remove the right camshaft position actuator housing.
