Inspection Procedure

    IMPORTANT: The internal parts of the oil pump are not serviced separately. If wear or damage is noted, replace the entire pump assembly.
  1. Inspect the oil pump body for cracks, scoring, casting imperfections and damaged threads.

  3. Inspect the oil pump cover for cracks, scoring and casting imperfections.

  5. Inspect the oil pump driven gear for chipping, galling or wear.

  7. Inspect the oil pump drive gear for chipping, galling or wear.

  9. Inspect the oil pump drive spacer for chipping, galling or wear.

  11. Inspect the oil pump relief components for embedded particles and/or damage.
