Installation Procedure

  1. If previously removed, install the APP sensor bracket to the front of dash.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the APP sensor bracket mounting nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the APP sensor bracket nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Position the APP sensor to the mounting bracket.
  4. Install the APP sensor mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the APP sensor mounting bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the APP sensor electrical connector.
  6. Operate the accelerator pedal and observe the APP angles using a scan tool. The accelerator pedal should operate freely, without binding between closed throttle and wide open throttle.
  7. Install the closeout/insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
