Conditions for Running the DTC

P2228
- DTCs P0120, P0121, P0122, P0123, P0220, P0222, or P0223 are not set.
- Key ON test: The ignition is ON.
- Engine running Test:
- The throttle position is greater than or equal to 0 percent and the engine speed is less than or equal to 800 RPM.
OR
- The throttle position is greater than or equal to 12.5 percent and the engine speed is greater than 800 RPM.
- The throttle position is greater than or equal to 0 percent and the engine speed is less than or equal to 800 RPM.
- DTC P2228 runs continuously when the above conditions are met.
P2229
- DTCs P0120, P0121, P0122, P0123, P0220, P0222, or P0223 are not set.
- The engine is running.
- The engine run time is greater than 4 minutes.
- The startup coolant temperature is between -30°C and +30°C (-22°F and +86°F).
- The throttle position is less than 1 percent.
- The engine speed is greater than 1,200 RPM.
- DTC P2229 runs continuously when the above conditions are met.
