Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 GMC Yukon XL and 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The lateral accelerometer and the yaw rate sensors are combined into one sensor external to the electronic brake control module (EBCM). The vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) uses the lateral accelerometer input when calculating the desired yaw rate. The EBCM receives the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor data from dedicated serial data circuits.
