Removal Procedure

  1. Locate the transmission oil cooler (TOC) quick connect fitting (1).
  2. IMPORTANT: Be sure that the lock tang on the release tool is properly engaged.

  3. Install the J 44827  onto the TOC pipe.

  5. Slide the J 44827  toward the TOC quick connect fitting.

  7. Insert the J 44827  into the TOC quick connect fitting. The distance between the quick connect fitting and J 44827  should be approximately 2.00 mm (0.080 in).

  9. Pull back on the TOC pipe to disengage the pipe from the TOC quick connect fitting.
  10. Remove the J 44827  from the TOC pipe.
