Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the cross car brace, if necessary. Refer to Brace Replacement - Cross Vehicle in Body Front End.
  2. Clean the fuel injector sight shield at the power steering and engine oil fill cap locations.
  3. Remove the power steering and engine oil fill caps.
  4. Lift the sight shield up from the front and pull forward to disengage the rear tab from the bracket.
  5. Remove the front compartment sight shields, if necessary. Refer to Sight Shields, Hood Adjuster, Hood Bumper, Hood Latch Replacement in Body Front End.
