Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left camshafts. Refer to Camshaft Replacement - Left .
  2. Fig 1: View Of Left Valve Rocker Arm

    IMPORTANT: Ensure each camshaft follower remains matched to the original stationary hydraulic lash adjuster (SHLAs) and original location the components were assembled in.
  3. Remove the camshaft followers from the left cylinder head.
  4. Clean and inspect the rocker arms. Refer to Valve Rocker Arms Cleaning and Inspection .
