Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  2. Remove the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  3. Remove the center floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor .
  4. Remove the defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
  5. Remove the front I/P speakers.
  6. Remove the instrument panel center trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center .
  7. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  8. Remove the ashtray/storage bin. Refer to Ashtray Replacement .
  9. Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement in HVAC Systems - Automatic (Includes Electronic and Dual Zone).
  10. Remove the left and right instrument panel insulator panels. Refer to and Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left  and Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right .
  11. Remove the knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Reinforcement Replacement .
  12. Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement .
  13. Remove the instrument panel storage compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) .

  15. Remove the screws securing the instrument panel retainer to the carrier.

    IMPORTANT: Note the instrument panel wire harness routing.
  17. Remove the screws securing the passenger side of the instrument panel retainer.

    Two of the screws on the side are concealed by the retainer.

  19. Remove the instrument panel retainer.
