Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Remove the auxiliary HVAC control from the center console. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement - Auxiliary in HVAC Systems - Automatic.

  2. Remove the upper screws (1).
  3. Remove the lower screws (2).
  4. Remove the center console rear cover (3).

  5. Open the console compartment door.
  6. Use a flat bladed tool in order to remove the inner auxiliary HVAC outlet (2).
  7. Remove the cellular telephone, if equipped with UV8. Refer to Cellular Telephone Docking Station Replacement (DeVille and DHS) or Cellular Telephone Docking Station Replacement (DTS) in Cellular Communications.
  8. Remove the screws (1) from the console door hinge.
  9. Remove the console door and hinge assembly from the center console.
