Installation Procedure

  1. Align the console lid and hinge assembly to the center console.

    The console hinge has alignment pins next to the top hinge screws.

    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the hinge screws (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb. in.).

  3. Install the cellular telephone storage tray, if equipped with UV8. Refer to Cellular Telephone Docking Station Replacement (DeVille and DHS) or Cellular Telephone Docking Station Replacement (DTS) in Cellular Communications.
  4. Install the inner auxiliary HVAC outlet (2).
  5. Close the console compartment door.

  6. Install the center console rear cover (3).
  7. Install the rear cover screws (1, 2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb. in.).

  8. Install the auxiliary HVAC control. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement - Auxiliary in HVAC Systems - Automatic.
