Trans Fluid

The ECM sends the oil life remaining percentage to the radio via class 2 serial data messages. The radio displays the current percentage of the GM Trans Fluid Life System as determined by the ECM. When the oil life remaining percentage drops below 10 percent, the radio displays CHANGE TRANS FLUID. When the transmission fluid is changed, reset the trans fluid life in order to clear the fluid life remaining percentage display. Press and hold the Reset button on the DIC switch for 5 seconds until the radio displays NORMAL 100 percent.
