Installation Procedure

  1. Position the I/P carrier to the lower and the upper I/P beams.
  2. Route the I/P wiring harness.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the retaining bolts and nuts to the I/P carrier.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the I/P compartment striker.

    Tighten:  Tighten the striker to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

  5. Install the I/P retaining bolt at the lower beam behind the I/P compartment door.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the steering wheel to the steering column. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  7. Install the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement in Keyless Entry.
  8. Install the GPS antenna to the I/P carrier. Refer to Antenna Replacement - Global Positioning System (GPS) in Navigation Systems.
  9. Install the SDM and the YAW sensors to the I/P carrier.
  10. Install the speakers to the I/P. Refer to Speaker Replacement - Front in Entertainment.
  11. Install the I/P cluster (IPC). Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement .
  12. Install the I/P trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) .
  13. Install the right and the left I/P end caps.
  14. Install the windshield side garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Side Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  15. Install the right and the left hinge pillar trim. Refer to Trim Replacement - Hinge Pillar in Interior Trim.
  16. Install the right and the left I/P trim panels. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Left  and to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Right .
  17. Install the left knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement - Left .
  18. Install the I/P compartment trim bezel. Refer to Trim Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment .
  19. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) .
  20. Install the closeout/insulator panels. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right  and to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left .
  21. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  22. Install the console assembly. Refer to Console Replacement .
    23. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  23. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
    24. CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  24. Enable the SIR system. Refer to the following procedures in SIR.
